Ramen Shop at Cross and Angle

A nice but small high-end ramen restaurant in an upscale mid-rise district of REIS Six. It sits behind a gated barrier that separates the arcology’s rougher sections from its nicer ones. This is where Iona Glass took her daughter after the Session 2 handoff, and where the crew took her back in Session 3. The restaurant’s name was never given; the crew knows it by its cross streets, Cross and Angle.

It exists in the fiction because Speckz Arioso spent Intel on Reveal Knowledge to declare that a high-end corpo would take her daughter somewhere nice.

Known Facts

  • The neighborhood has shops on the first four floors of each building and high-rise apartments above. It’s a short walk from a standalone four-story concrete parking garage, which is heat-shielded and was where Iona’s van was parked.
  • It has only two entrances, front and back. The back opens onto a dim alley between roughly forty-story buildings, with fire escapes, dumpsters and stacked pallets.
  • The kitchen connects to the dining room through a swinging door with a small window.
  • Menu: seafood ramen, including a “spiny lobster” that is almost certainly synth, shrimp, and real kelp. Real seafood is served higher up the arcology, not at street level.
  • Security: one camera, pointed at the register to catch employee theft. Bullfrog got into the network easily.
  • Wrecked in Session 3. A Cadillac crashed through the front and was shredded by autocannon fire, and the place was left full of bodies, blood, blue cybernetic fluid, black ichor and noodles. “There’s some tonkatsu hanging from a chandelier.” Police arrived as the crew left.

Appearances

  • Session 3: Iona Glass and Mara Sato’s lunch, and the site of the breakout firefight.
