Clocks
Active countdown/progress clocks (corporate response, faction plans, mission complications, etc.), tracked here across sessions. Update the fill level and note as segments tick; move to Resolved when a clock fills or is cleared.
Note that clocks are scoped to missions, not sessions, and a mission can span several sessions — the Sato job (“Mission 2, Ghost Route”) ran across all of Session 1 (Legwork) and Session 2 (Action), with its clocks carrying across the gap and cashing out at the end of Session 2.
Active Clocks
- REIS corporate response clock — 1 segment filled (as of Session 1). Ticked when Bullfrog’s second hack into REIS systems (digging into Iona Glass’s “Special Projects” ties) tripped REIS’s network security division. Whether REIS has connected the intrusion specifically to the crew is still open — see Plot Threads.
- Mission 2A action clock (Mara Sato breakout) — starts pre-ticked at 1800, “target is on full alert” — roughly the second tick — when the breakout begins in Session 3. The GM set it high because the crew handed Mara over in person and intends to come straight back for her. This mission has no legwork phase; it opens directly in the Action phase.
Standing Threats (not yet clocks)
- Outside attention on the handoff. On the Session 2 Get Paid roll, the crew declined to take “the meeting doesn’t attract the attention of outside parties.” The GM’s response: “I will be frank. That’s exactly what’s gonna happen.” No clock assigned yet.
- VYRAL heat. The GM stated that if VYRAL learns the crew are the four people on the NSMC footage, their heat with VYRAL rises. Not yet triggered.
- REIS notoriety. The GM warned that failing to return Mara would have ticked the REIS corporate clock and raised the crew’s notoriety with them — a consequence they avoided by delivering her, and will presumably re-incur by stealing her back.
Resolved Clocks
- Legwork clock (Mission 2 — Ghost Route) — ran the length of Session 1, the mission’s entire Legwork phase, and closed out at the end of Session 2. Filled 1 of 6 segments, ticked in Session 1 when Muktar missed an Assess against Iona Glass and annoyed her. The five unspent segments converted directly into a +5 on the Get Paid roll, which is why a rolled 5 still landed as a strong hit.
- Mission 2 action clock (Ghost Route) — opened when the crew crossed from Legwork into the Action phase at the top of Session 2, and ticked once, when Neon Drift’s weak hit on Hit the Street with Slim Jimmy took “attract unwanted attention.” Retired with the mission; the breakout starts a fresh clock.
